Here’s a quick roundup of what’s happening at the moment with Slick Revolution. Boy this year is going quickly!
Slick Revolution are flying south for the Winter
Slick Revolution will be moving its office and warehousing to pastures new in Southampton. We may do a quick warehouse tour when we move in and kit it out! Our new premises will allow us to have everything under 1 roof from storage, office, photo studio, workbench and even allow customers to collect or try out boards before they buy. Something we haven’t been able to offer yet!
We’re really excited for the move which will not only make our lives easier but allow us to take on staff towards Christmas time and just in time for the arrival of the Flex-Eboard.
Kickstarter
Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past few months you will have been following our successful crowdfunding campaign on kickstarter.com As of today the 6th of July we have raised £34k which will allow us to meet the minimum order requirement with our manufacturer. It seems unlikely that we will reach our stretch goal of £50k to allow for different colour choices for the Rough Stuff Wheels but we may still be able to offer black and 1 more colour for now. We will let you know when we do. We’ve further tested the prototype board and got some relatively accurate speed and range figures.
Indiegogo
Immediately after the Kickstarter campaign ends we will be launching on Indiegogo.com a similar crowdfunding website. The difference being that we don’t have a goal to meet for this campaign but instead wish to continue our fundraising efforts and spread the word even further. The prices on the Indiegogo campaign will reflect the higher amount from the Kickstarter so they won’t be cheaper than you got on Kickstarter.
The Cycle Show
We are showing at the cycle show on the 22nd to 24th of September at the NEC in Birmingham so come along and check out our range of eboards at the show. You can find us in the electric bike section. Of course the show is dedicated to cyclists but we thought, hey theres not many eboard shows around so why not go somewhere people are looking for clean and efficient travel – perfect!
