Inside Fatdaddy Q1, 2020: Boosted, Enertion, Corona, Shipping and growth

Welcome to the first of many quarterly updates. The purpose of these articles is to share what has been going on at Fatdaddy, our partners and the community.

TL;DR – The last few months were some of the bumpiest Fatdaddy ran into so far.

So what about Boosted Boards?

After Boosted’s CEO announced the end of the company, our mailbox has overflown with questions. We saw questions about warranty, parts and request from Boosted riders come in. All we can share right now is: Don’t worry. We are working on a solution. We are gathering parts from all over the world and will share an announcement as soon as we have more concrete information. Orders to the United Kingdom getting stolen

The last couple of months we noticed a rise in missing packages to the UK. We used Yodel to ship deliver packages, but those packages all seemed to mysteriously disappear. Consequently, this week we stopped shipping to the United Kingdom with Yodel and are now using UPS only. This means a small surcharge but you will get your package delivered. Promised.

Enertion Boards from Australia went down under

Unfortunately it was not just Boosted Boards. Enertion Boards wasn’t able to survive these hard times either. Enertion filed for voluntary liquidation. Luckily, we have a small batch of Enertion Boards Parts available in our webshop. However, parts come with a limited warranty since we will not get a new supply at this point. So don’t overcharge your Focbox Unity, it is becoming a popular but scarce item.

New Fatdaddy family member

Become smarter every day

We launched our Knowledge bank this month, giving customers access to all the Fatdaddy repair knowledge there is out there. Our team is busy writing new articles every day and we’d love to hear what you want us to write about. Hop onto our forum and drop some feedback about guides that you need! The Fatdaddy community is a place for everybody to talk e-mobility and to meet likeminded users.

Covid-19/Corona (not the beer)

The world has been hit by the Covid-19/Coronavirus pandemic which struck a lot of businesses. Fatdaddy is still operational during the corona crisis. Our team is working mostly at home with a small crew at our warehouse packaging orders.

Fatdaddy is surprisingly breaking records in these dark times. It seems a lot of you are looking for fun electric rides to kill the boredom. Thank you to all new customers, just remember to keep a safe distance between you and other riders.

With the current situation mind we hope that you are doing well, riding safe and keeping you to the local rules to beat this pandemic. In times like this we all get reminded how important it is to have friends and family around you. We now appreciate the social life we had before even more. Our thoughts are with you, customers and friends. We are going through this together and Fatdaddy will always be there to spark a smile.
